Rainbow Sprinkle Orange Bundt Cake

Rainbow sprinkle orange bundt cake
Super easy, tastes delicious and looks great. This is not a traditional sprinkle cake usually made with butter, milk or buttermilk. I love sprinkle cake (also known as Funfetti cake) and I also love orange bundt cake. So I was thinking of a good combination of both. Well, I thought right. The combination turned out great. I made an orange cake using freshly squeezed orange juice and added rainbow sprinkles in the batter.

Also to add pop to the orange flavor, I made an orange glaze and I added sprinkles on top of cake. Looking at the pictures, the cake looks like a traditional bundt cake with sprinkles on top, but the flavor is totally different. So therefore I called it, rainbow sprinkle orange cake? 🤔

The important thing here, is that this cake turned out so delicious and so beautiful and so easy to prepare that you can bake it any day of the week! Check it out:

Ingredients cake:

3 eggs

1/2 cup canola oil

1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice * I prefer fresh juice, but you can also use store bought orange juice

1-2 teaspoon orange zest

3 tablespoons shredded coconut

1 2/3 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups self rising flour

1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions:

1. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.

2. Preheat oven to 350F/180C.

3. In a large bowl sift flour. Set aside.

4. In a blender add remaining ingredients (except sprinkles) and beat for 2 minutes.

5. Add this mixture over the flour and stir using a wooden spoon just until moistened. Do not over mix cake batter.

6. Add sprinkles and stir.

7. Place batter into prepared cake pan.

8. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.

9. Let cake cool in pan for 15-20 minutes before removing to a platter.

10. Let it cool to room temperature. Prepare glaze:

Ingredients glaze:

3/4 cup powdered or confectioners sugar

3-4 tablespoons orange juice

Place ingredients in a medium bowl and stir. Glaze should be thick but run of the spoon. If is too think add more orange juice. 1 teaspoon at a time.

11. Pour glaze over cake and decorate with rainbow sprinkles.

** enjoy! It’s very good and citrusy cake 😊.

  1. You had me at “orange”. I’m totally into fruit tarts, cakes and loafs at the moment. There’s something so summer-y about them. Lemon/lime and orange especially, I’m yet to experiment with rhubarb but I think that’s great too. I love the way bundt cakes look, there’s something so festive about them, and the sprinkles are the perfect touch. Looks delicious!
