Homemade Hamburger Buns

Hamburger buns. Who doesn’t love a good burger?

It doesn’t matter if it is a beef burger or a veggie burger, if it is served on a soft and delicious homemade bun! That’s right! Today’s recipe is for hamburger buns! Where the bun is the winner!!!

At my house, we are carnivores hahaha. We love beef burgers. Of course the beef has to be grass fed organic beef, as well as organic lettuce and tomatoes and mayo. We prefer go organic as much as we can!

Ingredients:

3 cups bread flour

1 cup lukewarm water

1 tablespoon melted butter

1 egg room temperature

3 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 tablespoons dry milk

2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients into a bowl of a bread machine. Start with water, butter, egg and then the dry ingredients. Place yeast last.
  2. Select dough cycle. After it is finished, take dough and place it on a flowered surface.

3. Split dough and roll up 6 large rolls and 4 mini rolls, or 8 large rolls.

4.Place the rolls at least 2 inches apart.

5. Flatten the rolls a little bit, to get the hamburger bun shape.

6. Let it rise for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until puffy.

7. Brush melted butter before baking if desired. **I placed dried onions on some buns 🙂

8. Preheat oven to 350F.

9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
